We Passionately Invest in Technology-driven Ideas and the People who Value them.
Our Story and Our People.
While the world was oohing and ahhing at the enormity of 16 MB of RAM and 1 MB 3.5-inch floppy disks in 1996, Jason Perry was hunkered down in a two-person office in Chicago’s mammoth Merchandise Mart with an HTML programmer, a phone and 1,000 purchased leads, calling companies who might be interested in having his new company, Azavar Technologies, build one of those “websites” they might have heard about.
To Jason, it was crystal clear that websites were going to be must-haves for any company doing business—anywhere and everywhere. He’d been in the right place at the right time in the early 1990s while on campus at the University of Illinois to see technology’s future develop before his eyes as the Mosaic browser changed the web world with its GUI and hyperlinks. He’d used his knack for mathematics and marketing to develop HTML pages to support the early days of NetMath, the university’s long-distance mathematics learning program. And now, it was time to be an Internet pioneer in the business world.
Jason’s enthusiasm for making technology business-friendly was (and still is) palpable. In those early years, Azavar built websites for companies who were willing to take a chance, from suburban veterinarians to downtown law firms. Up late one night working, Jason answered the phone at 4 a.m. and landed a big breakout client who was impressed with his dedication. (We still wonder when Jason sleeps…)
Now—more than 20 years and three offices later—Azavar Technologies is still a team of enthusiasts who are absolutely fascinated with how the latest in technology can help businesses in the real world solve real business problems. We got here one right team member at a time and one right client at a time. We hope you join us soon.
